REMEDIAL MASSAGE
If you have particular muscle tension or chronic pain a remedial massage may be for you. Your remedial massage therapist will assess where you need treatment and what may be causing your pain. They’ll perform some tests to see exactly which muscles are giving you trouble and will tailor a treatment plan to suit. The treatment itself may involve deep tissue work for short periods of time, but the results are definitely worth it!

REFLEXOLOGY
Reflexology is a form of complementary therapy which, through the massage of the feet, aims to promote wellness in other areas of the body.
Modern reflexology is based on the principle that the foot has ‘reflex’ points that correspond to the various structures and organs throughout the body. For example, on the left foot, the tip of the big toe corresponds to the brain’s left hemisphere.
According to the philosophy of reflexology, all the organs, glands and parts of the body have representing reflexes on the feet. Reflexologists claim that any health problems in the body can usually be detected in the corresponding area of the foot. Reflexology practitioners believe that by massaging or stimulating the reflexes using specific techniques, there will be a direct effect on the corresponding organ.

REIKI
Both Reiki and massage are systems of natural healing that focus on body energy, and today Reiki massage is a common and effective treatment.
If you’ve ever had a great massage, you understand how you can feel both relaxed and invigorated at the same time. This seeming dichotomy of emotions allows you this feeling of well being because a massage loosens muscles, increases oxygen and blood flow throughout the body, and encourages the free flow of the body’s own energies.

I love empowering patients to understand their bodies and discover the gentle power of the healing arts.
